We are seeking a friendly Client Services Coordinator to provide support to our clients with daily activities.
Summary of Position:
The Client Services Coordinator of the Livin' & Learnin' program is responsible for the development and implementation of program activities, procedures, and protocols.
The coordinator will work jointly with the Client Services Manager to provide supervision and work directly with clients, guardians, and families to provide Community Based Day Habilitation related services.
The coordinator will assist with daily planned activities for clients and the development of tools to allow the client to progress toward independence.
The coordinator will also provide support and training to other departments as it relates to approaches and techniques necessary for the success of KANDU clients.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Special Education, or related field of study, or 3-5 years experience working with disabled or disadvantaged populations in a similar service environment.
Relevant post-high school education and/or previous work experience and the ability to demonstrate functional knowledge of behavior principles and related program design may be substituted at the discretion of the Employer.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Excellent listening skills and ability to communicate well both orally and in writing.
Possession of a vehicle with a valid driver's license and insurance.
Job Duties:
Maintains confidentiality regarding clients and families in compliance with HIPAA regulations Adheres to the vision, mission, and core values of KANDU Industries, Inc.
in all aspects of the job.
Maintain compassion and respect for all clients and their families Keep an accurate record of client services including all necessary documentation related to legal records, medical records, consents, and authorizations Provide opportunities to clients to improve or develop job and non-job skills and increase preparedness for community integration.
Work closely with various KANDU departments and programs to lead the client to success in and out of the workforce Respond to various client behaviors and/or medical needs requiring intervention Communicate incidents of critical and serious nature to the Client Services Manager and care team Assess consumer strengths and interests and assist with systematic instruction Evaluate and document client progress, including issues of performance, behaviors, and/or medical concerns Complete written progress reports and service plans to be submitted to care teams, counselors, and funding sources promptly.
Maintain a professional relationship with clients, coworkers, and family/guardians of clients.
Maintain adherence to the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Ability and willingness to drive a passenger van with clients to and from daily activities Ability and willingness to administer medication to clients An ideal Client Services Coordinator will have the following Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Be adaptable and accepting of change Be punctual, as the client depends on this Possess superb interpersonal skills Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities preferred Knowledge of developmental disabilities, with the capability to relate to individuals Awareness of community-based resources available for those with developmental and/or physical disabilities Have excellent oral and written communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to apply independent judgment in critical situations Must be proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office programs, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Reports to the Client Services Manager Hours and Compensation:
This is a full-time, non-exempt position.
Must be able to flex within a workweek to avoid overtime and allow for occasional client service activities to occur outside of usual business hours.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
