Summary of Position We are seeking a friendly, part-time Behavioral Support Specialist to provide support and supervision to one individual in a community setting.
This position will be responsible for direct observation and monitoring of behavior as it relates to health and safety.
In addition, this position will work within a team environment to encourage appropriate interaction with co-workers.
Job Responsibilities Exhibits polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, face-to-face, and mail.
Uphold compliance and confidentiality of all staff and relevant agencies and sensitive information.
Promote and maintain professional relationships with clients, caregivers, staff, coordinators, and supervisors.
Lunchroom snack duties include food preparation and clean-up, help acquire good eating habits, able to handle choking.
Complete record-keeping and reporting responsibilities in an accurate and timely manner.
Handle medical emergencies such as seizures, illnesses, and medications, under the assistance of the Client Service Coordinator.
Go on outings, assemblies, field trips, etc.
Advocate for clients' needs to assist in safety and health.
Maintain constant attention to the client to prevent behaviors.
General Daily Care:
Toilet supervision, blowing wiping nose, washing hands, etc.
Other duties assigned but needed.

Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent Excellent communication, both verbal and written Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
Excellent interpersonal skills Punctual with good attendance, reliable Attention to detail.
Compassion and Understanding Must be able to stand on your feet/sit for 4 hours at a time.
Must be agile and have a quick response time.
Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
