Summary of Position We are seeking a friendly, part-time Direct Support Professional:
Overnight (Weekends) to provide living support to two individuals in a home setting.
The major responsibilities for this position will include communication, personal care, and reporting.
Get paid to sleep! Job Responsibilities Display respectful and professional communication.
Maintain compliance and confidentiality.
Uphold KANDU's mission, vision, and values.
Communicate professional relationships with clients, caregivers, staff, and supervisors.
Complete accurate record-keeping and reporting.
Offer personal care and support to the client if they wake up during the night.
($14-$15 per hour) Advocate for clients' safety and health needs.
Ability to wake up quickly when needed for urgent situations or emergencies, which include, restroom assistance, bathing, etc.
Keep home sanitized and kept.
Able to be on call for staffing shortages or emergencies This list is intended to be descriptive of the general nature of assigned duties rather than limiting functions.
Duties are subject to periodic review and revision by the organization.
Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent.
Excellent communication, both verbal and written.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to communicate with all customers.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Punctual with good attendance, reliable and trustworthy.
Attention to detail.
Positive demeanor and temperament.
Patience in all tasks.
Basic Computer Knowledge and Microsoft Word skills.
Compassion and understanding.
Must be able to stand on your feet/sit for long periods of time.
Must be agile and have a quick response time.
Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
Access to a vehicle in good working condition, a valid WI driver's license, an acceptable, driving record, and proof of vehicle insurance.
May need to transport in cases of emergencies.
Be able to work independently and exercise good judgment.
Must be able to pass a caregiver background check.
Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
This position will have a personal space with a bed available.
This position is Saturdays and Sundays from 10:
00 pm - 8:
00 am.
This position reports to the Support Living Coordinator Sleep Pay:
$7.
