Summary of Position We seek a friendly, part-time Direct Support Professional:
Weekend Days to support two individuals in a home setting.
The major responsibilities for this position will include transportation, scheduling, communication, planning, personal care, and reporting.
Job Responsibilities Display respectful and professional communication.
Maintain compliance and confidentiality.
Uphold KANDU's mission, vision, and values.
Communicate professional relationships with clients, caregivers, staff, and supervisors.
Complete accurate record-keeping and reporting.
Offer personal care and support to the client as needed.
Advocate for clients' safety and health needs.
Provide your full attention to clients while on duty.
Assist with routines like preparing breakfast, lunch, and snacks, and light transportation for outings.
Types of overnight assistance may include responding to urgent or emergency situations, including restroom assistance and bathing.
Keep home sanitized and kept.
Teach daily living skills Able to be on call for staffing shortages or emergencies This list is intended to be descriptive of the general nature of assigned duties rather than limiting functions.

Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent.
Excellent communication, both verbal and written.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to communicate with all customers.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Punctual with good attendance, reliable and trustworthy.
Attention to detail.
Positive demeanor and temperament.
Patience in all tasks.
Basic Computer Knowledge and Microsoft Word skills.
Compassion and understanding.
Must be able to stand on your feet/sit for long periods of time.
Must be agile and have a quick response time.
Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
Access to a vehicle in good working condition, a valid WI driver's license, an acceptable, driving record, and proof of vehicle insurance.
Be able to work independently and exercise good judgment.
Must be able to pass a caregiver background check.
Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
