Summary of Position:
The Client Support Specialist will assist with on-the-job training/coaching for clients and the development of tools to allow the client to progress towards independence personally and in employment.
The specialist will assist the manager and a client with work in the community when appropriate and needed.
The Client Support Specialist will conduct daily living skills training as the provision of education and skill development to teach consumers the skills involved in performing activities of daily living, including skills intended to increase members' independence and participation in community life.
The specialist will assist clients living in the community.
Qualifications:
Experience with disabled or disadvantaged populations in a similar service environment and/or bachelor's degree in special education, or related field of study (preferred).
Ability to write reports and correspondence.
Excellent listening skills and ability to communicate well both orally and in writing.
Possession of a vehicle with a valid driver's license and insurance.
Must be able to pass a caregiver background check.
Must have open availability in your schedule.
Hours may vary from any time between 8 AM - 4:
30 PM.
This position will range from 15-20 hours per week.
Job Duties:
Maintains confidentiality regarding clients and families in compliance with HIPAA regulations Adheres to the vision, mission, and core values of KANDU Industries, Inc.

Maintain compassion and respect for all clients and their families.
Proficient in Microsoft Windows Communicate incidents of critical and serious nature to Client Services Managers Complete written case notes and submit them to Client Services Managers within a certain timeframe Keep an accurate record of client services including all necessary documentation related to employee performance, and skill development Maintain a professional relationship with clients, coworkers, and family/guardians of clients.
Work closely with the assigned Team at KANDU to lead the client to success in employment Assess consumer strengths and interests and assist with systematic instruction Assist with systematic instruction Coaching self-care skills and skills that are necessary for accessing and using community resources, like bus training, homecare maintenance, money management, food preparation, mobility training, and others.
Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.
, use hands and feet repetitively, be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time, read and write English and have basic computer skills.

Be adaptable and accepting of change Punctual, as the client depends on this.
Superb interpersonal skills Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities preferred.
Awareness of community-based resources available for those with developmental and/or physical disabilities.
Knowledge of developmental disabilities, with the capability to relate to individuals.
Has excellent oral and written communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to apply independent judgment in critical situations.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
