90 an hour 19 hours ago 19 hours ago 19 hours ago Position Summary and Job Duties This position evaluates new cases that are referred to the child support agency through various platforms; investigates referrals and gathers necessary information from multiple sources for processing; communicates with parents, employers, and other government agencies; and assist child support reimbursement specialists with various tasks as assigned.
60% Investigates new and existing cases for next appropriate action 1.
Investigate computer interface data related to system referrals for new and existing cases within the required federal timelines.

Review non-aid applications for child support services.
3.
Create new cases in the Kids Information Data System (KIDS).
4.
Review work list items.
5.
Review case interface error reports and take the necessary actions to resolve the error.
20% Locate absent parents and update demographic information in KIDS Apply information received from interfaces in KIDS.
Searches other available resources and databases.
Contact individuals both by mail or phone for additional information.
Sends correspondence to institutions and various individuals.
Updates demographic information in Kids Information Data Systems (KIDS).
Perform confidential investigations.
10% Draft forms and correspondence and interview parents Drafts forms and correspondence to individuals and agencies.
Document responses received to interview forms and questionnaires sent to parents for additional information.
Interview parents in person or by telephone.
Explain regulations, processes, forms, formulas, and procedures.
10% Other duties as assigned Success Factors (KSA's) Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and guidelines; Knowledge of family law procedures and practices; Knowledge of legal terms and documents; Knowledge of financial statements, such as income tax forms and personal budgets; Knowledge of court orders; knowledge of child support payment distribution; Basic computer skills; Skills in gathering, organizing and evaluating information for the purpose of determining the next appropriate action; Skills in interpreting and applying complex rules, regulations, guidelines and statutes; Skills in communicating effectively both orally and in writing, especially in sensitive situations; Ability to exercise independent judgment and carryout assignments with minimal supervision; Ability to maintain confidentiality of records; ability to train and monitor the work of others; Ability to work with computer systems.
Job Requirements, Education, Training & Experience Education and Experience Graduation from high school or equivalent and any combination of training and experience equivalent to two years of college with courses related to the legal system, or at least two years of work experience which includes substantial experience collecting and analyzing information and interpreting complex guidelines and regulations, or two years of increasingly responsible clerical experience including one year of legal clerical experience in a court system, law office or related work environment.
Additional Job Requirement Pursuant to Internal Revenue Service (IRS) 1075 Publication, Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) fingerprints and criminal background checks are a component and requirement for access to Federal Tax Information (FTI).
New subjects (new hires) must be successfully adjudicated before a start date is established and prior to granting access to FTI and at least once every ten years thereafter.
Successful adjudication is a job requirement, and as such, must be initiated at least every 9 years 6 months.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
