Accounting Supervisor
ACCOUNTING SUPERVISORThe purpose of the Accounting Supervisor is to provide oversight and guidance to accounting staff, supporting the timely and accurate execution of transactional details.
This on-site role is responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger, invoicing, cash and collections, payroll, accounts payable, and banking.
This position oversees 4 direct reports in an accounting office setting.
Key
Responsibilities:
Daily reporting of all transactional activity - this applies to the role and to the oversight of the accounting staff, which includes:
General Ledger Accountant:
month-end closing process including the publication of financial statements, completion of ADP payroll processing weekly, all general ledger activities and reconciliations for all Kaiser related entities, bank reconciliations Accounts Payable Clerk:
A/P, banking/cash, intercompany transactions, supporting payroll, managing petty cash, and supporting general ledger for all Kaiser-related entities Billing Representative:
gathering of commercial documents to support the daily invoicing of customers Credit Representative:
posting payments to customer accounts and performing credit checks and collection activities Other duties include:
Daily open order reportingWeekly cash reporting and managementEngages with management on financial mattersEngages with corporate attorney and external accounting firm as neededManages staff workloadStaff performance evaluationsSupports budgeting process Other duties as assignedRequired skills and
Qualifications:
1-3 years of general ledger and/or accounting experience (required) Prior supervisor experience (required) High School Diploma (required) Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written Extreme attention to detail, in a dynamic environment Self-motivated - internally driven to accomplish goals and expectations Deadline focused:
supervise staff in order to achieve desired outcomes in a timely fashion This is a salaried, exempt position.
Shift is primarily 1st shift, Monday to Friday, with occasional need to work longer hours or weekend based on business need.
