Assistant Corporation Counsel

Rock County currently has an opening for an attorney to work in the Corporation Counsel's Office. Work involves performance of professional legal services for the Rock County Human Services Department:
prosecutes child in need of protection and services (CHIPS) cases, prosecutes termination of parental rights (TPR) petitions for Rock County, ensures that judicial reviews on CHIPS cases are done on a timely basis, handles guardianship and protective placement actions on behalf of Rock County including drafting petitions and preparing court orders, and ensures that the Department is in compliance with the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) and the Interstate Compact on the placement of children (ICPC).Requirements include:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
