_GENERAL
Summary:_ The role's primary focus is public relations, including community charitable events and sponsorship opportunities (ie: run/walks) and local communication (both internally and externally). This position will develop relationships with local media and serve as a hospital / clinic representative within the community.

2. Exceptional Service - Patient/Customer
1. The Marketing and Communications Consultant coordinates the public relations strategy, while facilitating market deployment of internal communications and marketing initiatives, in conjunction with the Regional Director of Marketing and Communications and the System Director, Media/PR.
2. The Marketing and Communications Consultant will identify key audiences in the market and determines the appropriate ways to communicate with them to achieve PR goals.
3. The Marketing and Communications Consultant will partner with the regional and system SSM communications team to post local event photos and recognitions to social media and regularly contributes timely health stories for use online both internally and externally.
4. The Marketing and Communications Consultant assists the internal SSM communications team by working closely with leadership to craft local internal communications as needed.
3. Exceptional Engagement - Physician/Employee
1. The Marketing and Communications Consultant maintains key partnerships with local community organizations and devises community relations/marketing plans to increase awareness and usage of SSM services. Additionally this role ensures SSM is represented correctly in the market - logo and color palette usage are consistent with corporate or regional standards.
2. The Marketing and Communications Consultant will work with the local Community Health Needs Assessment team to ensure we are providing useful community benefits to the local market and will facilitate tracking our success and work to continually improve results. This role also supports local CBISA reporting for the region.
3. This Marketing and Communications Consultant assists with and is present at local community events; attends dinners and special events and works to engage staff to be SSM ambassadors in the community.
4. Exceptional Performance - Financial/Growth/Development
1. The Consultant works with the regional SSM communications team and acts as lead for crisis communication and is an SSM representative with the media as needed. Additionally the Consultant tracks and maintains ROI metrics and monitors competitive landscape for Marketing and PR.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
