The Scrap Recovery Tech Motor Breakdown Dismantler is accountable for accurately draining and processing motors.
The Scrap Recovery Tech Motor Breakdown Dismantler must package engine and transmission motors.

Drain and process motorsPackage engine and transmission cores.
Record engine and transmission core counts.
Must be able to multi-task and work in a high pace environment dailyOther duties as assigned

Experience:
Requires a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
1 year of automotive experience required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Must have knowledge of the automotive industry.
Must be able to dismantle automotive parts.
Must be able to read and write English.
Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50lbs.
Noise level loud.
May be required to work outside in all weather conditions.
Preferred
Qualifications:
ASE certification is preferred, but not required.
Decision Making Examples:
Determine the packaging requirements for core units.
Determine if a core unit needs further processing after being drained.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, as well as an office environment.
The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat.
The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud.
Should not have any lifting restrictions and must not be afraid of heights.
Should be able to tolerate high and low temperature levels and occasional inclement driving conditions.
